BREAKING!!!!!!!!!!
International fugitive Marc Rich, who purchased a pardon from Bill and Hillary Clinton by giving money to their campaigns and Presidential Library (through his wife), is still not in prison.
Here's the info on Marc Rich from Wikipedia:
In 1983 Rich and partner Pincus Green were indicted by U.S. Attorney and future mayor of New York City Rudolph Giuliani, on charges of tax evasion and illegal trading with Iran. They were indicted while they were in Switzerland. The pair failed to return to the U.S. following the indictment, and were on the FBI's Most Wanted List for many years.Of course the pardon was bought! On January 20, 2001, hours before leaving office, President Bill Clinton granted Rich a presidential pardon. Since Rich's former wife and mother of his three children, socialite Denise Rich, had made large donations to the Democratic Party and the Clinton Library during Clinton's time in office, Clinton's critics alleged that Rich's pardon had been bought.
Let's say the Rezko stuff is true, and that something vaguely boring happened to Obama's house in Chicago which is really hard to follow.
How is any of this even remotely comparable to selling pardons to the highest bidder? Why would the Clintons even want to go here?
All Democrats have a sick feeling in their stomachs after the pardons fiasco. This will certainly come up in the GE, since Hillary's brother was bribed $400,000 for another pardon and a commuted sentence.
