BREAKING! Marc Rich still not in jail!

BREAKING!!!!!!!!!!

International fugitive Marc Rich, who purchased a pardon from Bill and Hillary Clinton by giving money to their campaigns and Presidential Library (through his wife), is still not in prison.

Here's the info on Marc Rich from Wikipedia:

In 1983 Rich and partner Pincus Green were indicted by U.S. Attorney and future mayor of New York City Rudolph Giuliani, on charges of tax evasion and illegal trading with Iran. They were indicted while they were in Switzerland. The pair failed to return to the U.S. following the indictment, and were on the FBI's Most Wanted List for many years.

On January 20, 2001, hours before leaving office, President Bill Clinton granted Rich a presidential pardon. Since Rich's former wife and mother of his three children, socialite Denise Rich, had made large donations to the Democratic Party and the Clinton Library during Clinton's time in office, Clinton's critics alleged that Rich's pardon had been bought.

Of course the pardon was bought!

Let's say the Rezko stuff is true, and that something vaguely boring happened to Obama's house in Chicago which is really hard to follow.

How is any of this even remotely comparable to selling pardons to the highest bidder? Why would the Clintons even want to go here?

All Democrats have a sick feeling in their stomachs after the pardons fiasco. This will certainly come up in the GE, since Hillary's brother was bribed $400,000 for another pardon and a commuted sentence.

Pardon me for bringing this up (none / 0)

I just wish I get away with tax evasion! I sure hope Hillary is elected, so I can bribe my way into a tax free lifestyle!

For now, I'll pay my taxes like a good citizen.

Do you people have no limits to your shameless behavior and petty tactics?

I'm frankly not sure which is a more pathetic strategy: screaming that something being covered by every news outlet today is a "non-story," or trying to deflect it by bringing up scandals from a decade ago.

I can only imagine the strategy for when the Republican nominee brings up these "non-stories" in the general election.  Oh, the angry blog comments will sure put the GOP in its place that day.

Yeah, but a picture of Obama and Mark Rich standing side-by-side at a dinner party.  I mean, come on.  Sheesh.

Besides, we know that the only people supporting Obama are those college-aged African American latte-drinking women who live in Iowa and South Carolina (and probably Illinois as well) that have only good memories of the Clinton years while thinking that Ronald Reagan had all the best ideas and that believe in the current healthcare system but don't believe in unions or in gay rights, even though they themselves may or may not be gay.  Or African-American.  Or college-aged.  Or ever had a latte.  Or liked it.

He's really painting himself into a corner.

What I find interesting (none / 0)

is the mention of Giuliani - You can be sure if Hillary gets the nod that the pardon of Marc Rich will be ceaselessly in the news.  Rudy will be on the stage with whoever is the nominee harping away.
This isn't innuendo - Bill did a very bad thing

Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich was one of the low points of his career.
